CHILD
WELFARE SOCIETY
Child
Welfare society was established on 16th November 1994 and has been doing
philanthropic work with the attitude of yeomen services towards destitute
children, school dropouts by promoting welfare services in slum areas,
re-settlement colonies etc. Being a non-government organisation, it is a
matter of great pride that the society is being run within our own limited
resources, without any governmental or international fund. One of the major
objectives of the society is to explore the unidentified areas through
research work where the child can be helped and to place before the
government for future action plan.
Aim & Objectives of the
society:-
i) To coordinate activities and help in the
development of Child Welfare Movement specially delinquent and destitute
children and children of other backward classes.
ii) To organise
public opinion to secure progressive legislation, its better enforcement of
child welfare mainly in the State of Delhi.
iii) To provide
medical aid and relief to the needy children including the establishment
maintenance and support of institutions of medical aid and relief.
iv)
Awarding scholarship, grant or monetary aid and assistance to deserving
children for the purpose of undertaking, prosecuting and encouraging
research work in any branch of education, technology, medical science,
agricultural science, commercial accountancy, business management or any
branch or branches of applied sciences or higher learning.
v) To
provide grants in aids of any kind for the benefit of deserving indigent and
needy children.
vi) To organise conferences, seminars and
exhibitions to promote the interests of children.
vii) To
maintain a library of books and publications.
viii) To promote
and encourage cultural activity among the children.
ix) To
foaster and encourage friendly, brotherly feelings, better understandings,
co-operation and to develop unity, among the children.
x) To
distribute free books food and clothing to the poor and needy children.
xi)
To act as representative between the official and non-official agencies and
organisations, at the local district and state level.
xii) To
initiate action for promoting child welfare services in slum areas,
re-settlement colonies etc. for meeting their needs, by setting up essential
relief projects.
xiii) To send delegates to conferences,
seminars etc. and to co-operate with other agencies serving children
directly or indirectly.
